Robotic Surgery

Dr. Lanalee Araba Sam is one of the few South Florida gynecologists specially trained to perform the latest in surgical procedures: minimally invasive “robotic” surgery. Dr. Sam was the very first physician to perform a robotic surgery in all of Palm Beach County, and is now the Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at the West Boca Medical Center. She has successfully completed robotic hysterectomies with uterine weights of up to 1200g and robotic myomectomies removing fibroids up to 500g. Having mastered their equipment in the course of completing several hundred successful surgeries, Dr. Sam is also a national proctor for Intuitive Surgical (manufacturers of the Da Vinci robotic system) teaching robotic surgery to other physicians across the country.
